1926 - Frank Dixon & George Ryan, instructors at the highly acclaimed Henry Ford Trade School in Highland Park, start repairing precision machinist tools.

1929 - Frank and George leave Ford to incorporate Dixon & Ryan in the basement of George Ryan’s home in Royal Oak, Michigan.

1932 - Dale Ryan joins the company.

1935 - The company moves into a storefront in downtown Royal Oak to accommodate additional employees.

1936 - Chet Dixon leaves GM to join the company.

1940 - Dixon & Ryan builds a new facility for growing service business.

1945 - Dale Ryan returns from Navy duty and rejoins the company.

1948 - Dick Dixon joins the business.

1978 - Mark Ryan returns to the business while finishing college.

1980 - Richard Dixon joins business.

1989 - Requiring more space, the company moves into a new 12,000 sq. ft. facility with temperature controlled Calibration Lab.

1998 - Dixon & Ryan becomes accredited to ISO/IEC 17025
